Meeting Your Compassion Child For the First Time

I know that I am blessed to have met my Compassion International child (Fhone) and her family.  What I love seeing in this video is the change that goes on with her face.  She was upset when I met her because she wanted to go to the Compassion center.  Watch the end of the video to see the difference a Compassion sponsorship can make.  I've been blessed ten fold more than I could ever bless her.  xo Melissa

  1. Hey Melissa.. I heard you talking about this yesterday on the radio. I work at the Christian Television Network here in Nashville. I am starting a TV show/ministry called "Everything Beautiful" www.everything-beautiful.net in March. It is going to be an interview type show that will air nationwide on CTN. The purpose of this show is exactly what you were talking about yesterday... it is helping girls see who they are in Christ and in the mirror. I battled bulimia as well for 15 years and I want to help girls avoid or overcome this self-image challenge that so affects women. I have met with Nancy Alcorn from Mercy Ministries as well and she is going to be a guest too and very much is in support of this ministry! I would love to talk to you about being a guest or just chat some about this if you would be willing? I wasn't sure the best way to contact you so I hope you get this. My email is ashley@ashleyramps.com I would love to connect on this! Thanks for being bold and speaking up!

  2. Melissa, thanks for sharing about Compassion's Goals. My family has sponsored a girl in Lima, Peru for about ten years now. After " waiting " for our son, Chris for about 3 years, we could not have any more children. He is such a Blessing from God and we wanted to be able to " raise " another child. We were at a concert and met our sponsor child, Kelly. She is about 6 months older than our son. We write her often and pray that soon we will be able to visit her. We have all the pictures of her growing up and now she is 14 yrs old. We don't know if she has accepted the Lord yet but also pray that she will make that decision soon. Thank you for your show but mostly for your faithfulness and testimony ! God's Blessings to you, Matt and all of the WAYFM family. P.S. Welcome to Nashville !
